Broadcast & The Focus Group - Investigate Witch Cults Of The Radio Age, Vinyl LP
Factory Sealed.
"Investigate Witch Cults of the Radio Age” sees Broadcast (Trish Keenan and James Cargill) collaborating with renowned designer Julian House (aka The Focus Group) to create a unique mini-album pulling in both collaborators’ unique sense of melody and love of library music and film scores. After a long hiatus, it can be said with confidence that Broadcast’s return is greeted with much anticipation.
"Investigate Witch Cults of the Radio Age" highlights the collaborators differences just as much as their shared vision. The album is chaotic, overstimulating, like opening a dusty wardrobe and having an entire childhood tumble down on your head. It carries the same trapped-on-the-wrong-side-of-the-mirror allure as "Tender Buttons," with Keenan channelling some inner kaleidoscope through her outwardly blank, coolly regretful vocals. Broadcast and The Focus Group have fashioned an artefact that will work similar magic on future generations of wide-eyed sonic archaeologists.
